When should we book our cake?
Your wedding day is one of the most important & special days in your life. It is never too early to begin planning to create your perfect wedding cake. It is a good idea to reserve 8-10 months in advance, but reservations closer to the wedding date can be arranged if space is available. Your custom creation is important, therefore the number of reservations accepted is limited. Reserving your date early can help avoid disappointment.
How do we start planning our wedding cake?
Head to my Contact page! Fill out the form to get us started. I will then send a detailed questionnaire for you to let me know as much information as possible about your cake plans. You can also respond to the email with any photos of cake styles you had in mind, or a mood board from your planner or florist. I will then send a few cake sketch ideas, along with pricing. This keeps everything in writing between us so it is easily referenced on both sides.
Do you offer tastings?
The cost of the tasting box is $40, and they will only be available on set dates - one Saturday a month, except during the busy wedding season. You will receive an invitation to order one as part of the planning process.
How much does a wedding cake cost?
Wedding cakes start at $500 and will go up from there, depending on complexity of design - it is impossible to have a set “price list” as each cake is custom designed specifically for each couple to reflect their tastes, themes and personality. To get a rough idea, the average investment of a 3 tier cake (70 servings) is $900.
Is a deposit required to book a cake?
A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required to book a wedding cake and hold your date. Final payment is due two weeks before the wedding date.
do you deliver?
Yes! Fancy That Cake takes care of delivery and set up of your wedding cake at your event site. Your creation will be perfectly displayed, awaiting the entrance of you and your guests. Depending on the location of the venue, a delivery fee will apply. Standard mileage rates are used to calculate the delivery fee.

Do you offer cakes other than wedding cakes?
With the current influx of weddings, Fancy That Cake will no longer be offering baked goods outside of weddings at this time. While I love being able to work with my amazing clients for all their celebrations, I have decided to focus on what I truly love best, which is designing and creating wedding cakes!
