A romantic wedding cake at elora mill
I absolutely loved being part of this dreamy Elora Mill wedding—and I’m still swooning over the cake I created for it! This four-tiered stunner was such a fun project, and I’m so excited to finally share some gorgeous shots captured by Alexandra Del Bello Photography.
A Soft Watercolor Palette with a Touch of Gold
This design features a spong-painted buttercream texture in soft teal hues, and a touch of edible gold leaf gave it just the right amount of sparkle without being over-the-top. It was elegant, but with a cool, slightly whimsical vibe. Perfect for the couple’s style and the cozy, historic charm of Elora Mill.
Sugar Flowers That Feel Fresh from the Garden
Can we talk about these sugar flowers for a second? I’m obsessed. From the blush dahlia and soft pink garden rose to the golden ranunculus and tiny periwinkle blue blossoms—they were all handmade in sugar and completely edible (though they’re almost too pretty to eat!). I also added plenty of greenery to give it that lush, fresh-picked look.
Sweet (and Playful) Personal Touch
One of my favourite details? The tiny dog figurine tucked at the base of the cake! It looks like he couldn’t resist a little taste—leaving behind a nibble in the frosting. This custom element was added as a playful nod to the couple’s beloved pup, and it brought so much personality to the design.
Dream Team Vibes
Big shoutout to Jennifer from Tufts & Toile for pulling everything together so beautifully. The soft blue linens, candlelight, and romantic details she curated really made the cake table shine. It’s always such a joy working with planners who truly get the vision and bring everything together with heart and style.
This one was such a joy to create, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it. If you’re dreaming up a cake with a little personality, a lot of style, and maybe even a surprise detail or two—I’ve got you.
